ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
SUCCESSFUL BRIGADE DANCE. IN AID OF PARCEL FUND. The St. John Ambulance Brigade held another successful dance in the Masonic Hall, Masterton, on Saturday night. The hall was well filled, and the music supplied by Jack Barnes and his Rhythm Boys was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The duties of M.C. were capably carried out by Mr K. H. Dean, who kept the proceedings going with a swing. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Rickards and partner and a lucky spot one step was won by Miss Payne and partner. Extras were played by the Thorne Trio and by Mr C. Jackson.
Mr McQuade, Cadet Superintendent, thanked patrons for their attendance and announced that the proceeds of the dance would be devoted to the purchase of parcels for members serving overseas. He thanked all whose efforts had contributed towards making the dance so successful and stated that the next dance would be held on Saturday, June 12. No. 321 was the winning ticket in the lucky number competition.
