MO KATOA SCOUTS
WEEKLY PARADE ACTIVITIES. The usual Friday parade of the Mo Katoa Scout Troop was opened in the presence of the District Scoutmaster, Mr Allsop. The troop first marched through the town, doubling some of the way to keep warm, and then paid a social call on the St. Matthew’s Troop, who were challenged to a game of handball. St. Matthew’s won by four goals to one. During the week, Patrol Leader W. Kerslake passed the Missioner, Friend to Animals, and Handyman Proficiency Badges, thereby setting a fine example to his Patrol.
When the troop returned from its march, Patrol Leader W. Kerslake, Second M. Whittaker and Scout Alf Levick put on half an hour of entertainment for their Entertainers Proficiency Badge. The Scoutmaster, Mr J. Robinson, called on Mr Allsop to present P.L. W. Kerslake with the Missioner, Friend to Animals, and Handyman Proficiency Badges.
