WOMEN’S RIGHTS
ACTION BY U.S.A. SENATE COMMITTEE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 24. The Senate Judiciary Committee has approved a proposed amendment to the Constitution providing equal rights for women. The amendment would prohibit any State from distinguishing between the sexes in a labour industrial contract or in other laws or regulations. Three-fourths of the States in addition to Congress must approve the amendment before it becomes effective.
