SHOT DOWN IN BRITAIN

DAMAGE AND CASUALTIES IN COAST TOWN. AT LEAST TWELVE PEOPLE KILLED. LONDON, May 25. Four out of 25 enemy raiders were destroyed in a raid on an English coast town in daylight today. Fighters shot down one and antiaircraft guns got the other three. The raid' was short and sharp. Bombs smashed houses and shops and at least 12 people were killed and others, including children are among those missing. A bomb fell on a schO'Ol playground, which only a few minutes earlier was full of playing children.
