TREATMENT OF “RELIGIOUS CRIMINALS” MANY PRIESTS BEING DONE TO DEATH. TORTURE AND STARVATION AT DACHAU. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 22.
The Dachau concentration camp has been transformed into a camp for the detention of “religious criminals.’ This was disclosed in a Swiss religious monthly journal, says the "New York Times” Berne correspondent. Three thousand German Catholic priests are interned, who are daily suffering degrading punishment and facing slow death by starvation, as the rations are not enough to keep soul and body together. During the past year more than 1500 Polish priests were literally done to death through privation and beatings. Also Father Jean Origer, former editor of the Luxembourg Catholic weekly, died of starvation after a long period of solitary confinement.
