WOMEN’S DIVISION (“Times- Age" Special.) The Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union meeting, held recently, was largely attended, Mrs Harman presiding. An interesting letter was read from C. Lambert, who is in hospital in the Middle East, thanking the Division for parcels received, also a letter from a boy in England, whose small brother had received garments that had been made by members and sent to help those in bombed areas, through the Red Cross Society. Two parcels were packed for overseas soldiers by Mrs Wallis and Miss Graham. The competitions resulted: —Best child’s apron from flour bag, Mrs Harman, Senr., 1, Mrs Wright 2; best bloom, Mrs Harman, Junr., 1; wandering shilling, Mrs Wright; amusement, Mrs Herman, Junr. Personal. Misses N. Curtis and E. Hansen are visiting Taranaki. Mr and Mrs Geof. Houlbrooke are on holiday in Hawke’s Bay. Mr and Mrs Lindegreen have left for a holiday. Privates J. Hay and G. Hart are spending leave with their parents.
