ST. LUKE’S CHURCH LADIES’ GUILD MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of St. Lukes Ladies’ Guild was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday afternoon. Mrs A. York presided over a good attendance of members. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Canon Sykes. The bazaar, which is to be held in November, was fully discussed. It was decided to call the bazaar “The Allied Nations Fair.” The Rev. Abbott congratulated the guild on the good work it was doing in the interests of the church, and said he hoped it would continue to do so. Two new members were welcomed, Mesdames A. Nisbet and J. C. Feast. The tea hostesses were Mesdames J. F. Thompson and A. Nisbet. Mr Abbott closed the meeting with prayer and the benediction.
