WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

KAITUNA-FERNRIDGE MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the KaitunaFernridge Women's Institute was held at Mrs J. Shaw’s residence, Fernridge, yesterday afternoon. Mrs Keir presided over a fair attendance. A posy was presented to Mrs Chapman in honour of her 50th wedding anniversary. Mrs P. R. Welch gave an interesting demonstration and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Mrs Pringle was appointed delegate to the general conference to be held at Gisborne in July. The flower competition resulted: Mrs D. J. Cooper. 1; Mrs Roy Shaw, 2. Mrs J. Shaw was heartily thanked for lending her home for the occasion.
