TINUI
RABBIT ASSOCIATION \ BUSINESS AT ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Tinui Rabbit Association was held at Tinui yesterday afternoon. The chairman, Mr James Andrew presided. Mr Andrew said that the association had proved its worth as this year 929 rabbits were taken during 10 months, as compared with 978 rabbits taken last year. Rabbits were not increasing unduly in the district although in other parts of the Wairarapa they were seriously on the increase. There was a move afoot, he said, to form a large rabbit board area which would exclude the Tinui area now served by the association. It was decided to endeavour to obtain another rabbiter, and to increase the wages of the present rabbiter. The meeting decided to apply to the Department of Agriculture for 1000 rounds of shot gun ammunition for the association. Officers were elected as follow: — Chairman, Mr James Andrew; committee, Messrs R. S. Pilmer, J. M. Andrew, W. French, D. H. Speedy and T. W. S, Langdon.
