RUGBY, April 28. ■ The Admiralty has announced that Vice-Admiral Sir Henry Harwood, who commanded the victorious cruiser force in the Battle of the River Plate, on medical advice, has relinquished his appointment as Commander-in-Chief in the Levant and has returned to Britain. He is succeeded, temporarily, by Vice-Admiral Sir Ralph Beatham.
