R.A.F. ACTIVITY WELL MAINTAINED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) ! RUGBY, April 27. An India communique reports a continuation of active patrolling by both sides in the Arakan area, but the general situation is unchanged. An attack on one of our positions south of Buthidang has been repulsed with, considerable enemy casualties. Yesterday R.A.F. Hurricanes attacked targets in the battle area. Further south, Blenheims bombed two Japan-ese-occupied villages on the Arakan coast. Fighters damaged river transport on the Irrawaddy. Night attacks have also been made on several Japanese airfields in Burma with good results. From these operations none of our aircraft are missing.
