NEW ZEALANDERS
AMONG REPATRIATED WAR PRISONERS INCLUDING BISHOP GERRARD. AND BRIGADIER WILLISON (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day,- 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, April 23. A number of New Zealanders and Australians were aboard the hospital ship Newfoundland, which today reached a west coast port in Britain, with about 450 repatriated prisoners of war from Italy. Among them was Brigadier G. V. Gerrard, Senior Chaplain to the New Zealand forces. So, too, was Brigadier-General A. C. Willison, the first man to break out of Tobruk to join hands with the relieving force. All aboard looked remarkably well in health, according to agency reports. As the vessel drew alongside, all who could stand gathered on the top deck and sang “Tipperary.” There were 45 officers aboard, of whom five were stretcher cases, and 250 of other ranks, including ten stretcher cases, and a number of protectyed personnel. After disembarking, the men were taken to various hospitals in three trains. \
