TOURNEY AT MASTERTON. LARGE NUMBER OF RINKS COMPETING. A rinks tournament is being held today on the Masterton Bowling Club’s greens. Smith; Johnstone, Clayson, Denhard, W. Hendry; Vennell, Holdsworth, Hunter, F. Percy; Freeman, Daniell, Henderson, W. Reid; Grant, Davey, Mills, J. Russell; A. Hendry, Rev. Lane, Gordon, Chapman; Hoar, Beattie, Rowntree, Christian; Price, Larsen, Stewart, E. Reid; Bassett, Cotter, Thomas, Roberts.
The following are first round results: —Hendry beat Chapman, Trevorrow beat Percy, Christian beat Spackman, W. Reid beat Carr, Russell drew with H. Smith, E. Reid beat Roberts.
