HAVOC IN STUTTGART

AIR MINISTRY REPORT POWERFUL CONCENTRATION OF BOMBERS. BURSTS SEEN AMONG FACTORY BUILDINGS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) RUGBY, April 15. “Such was the concentration of bombers of over Stuttgart last night that at times they got in each other's slipstreams,” states the Air Ministry news service. “The attack lasted for three-quarters of an hour. It was one of the brightest nights this year and the crews found their target easily. All reports agree that the fires were highly concentrated and that, except in the air. the defences were not very strong. One pilot said smoke rose 8,000 feet and he could see plenty of 4,000 pounders bursting among tall factory buildings. Three enemy fighters are already known to have been destroyed and another probably was destroyed.
