EKETAHUNA
PLUNKET SOCIETY SUB-BRANCH MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the annual meeting of the Eketahuna sub-branch of the Plunket Society, Mrs A. S. Carter presided . The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs A. S. Carter; vice-presidents, Mesdames Lowes, George Summers, Evans, McAnulty and Albretchsen; secretary, Mrs H. W. Higginson; treasurer, Mrs S. Daniel, committee, Mesdames Christie, Gray, Mathews, Raleigh, Marenzi. All country district representatives were reelected with the addition of Mrs K. Henson, Kaiparoro. Auditor, Mr A. H. Gray. Afternoon tea was served by committee members, after which Miss M. Bissett delivered a very interesting lecture on the care of teeth. Obituary. The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital this morning of Mr Charles Edward Robbie, of Eketahuna, at the age of 65 years. A widow, one son. Mr Malcolm Robbie, and one daughter, Mrs Nelson Richardson, are left to mourn their loss. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the Presbyterian Church, following a service at 2.15 p.m. for the Eketahuna Cemetery.
