KOPUARANGA
BIRTHDAY PARTY INSTITUTE CELEBRATION. (“Times-Age” Special.) A large number of settlers and visitors gathered at the Kopuaranga Hall on Saturday night to celebrate the Bth birthday of the local Women’s Institute. Excellent dance music was supplied by Mr J. West, while the duties of M.C. were capably carried out by Mr B. Fenemor. Extras were played by Mrs Reside and Miss J. Brophy. Miss Saunders, Masterton, delighted the audience with two humorous recitations. A home-made supper, served by members of the local Institute, was much appreciated. The president, Mrs W. J. Cottle, in a short speech, thanked the visitors for helping to make the dance such a success. She then presented the aggregate prizes won during the year. A Lucky Sot dance was won by Miss P. Westhead and Mr L. Gyde.
