OBITUARY
MRS C. McKBNZIB. There died at her residence, 16 Villa Street, Masterton, yesterday, a very old and highly respected resident of the district, in the person of Mrs Christina McKenzie, relict of the late Mr Alexander McKenzie. The late Mrs McKenzie was born in Denmark 71 years ago, and came to New Zealand with her parents at the age of three years. She had spent the greater part of her life in the Wairarapa, where she was well known for her kindly qualities, particularly in cases of sickness. Her husband predeceased her three years ago. Two sons and six daughters survive. The sons are Messrs James H. McKenzie (at present in war service in New Zealand) and C. Gordon McKenzie of Canada. The daughters are Mesdames H. Mayhew (Masterton), G. R. McNutt (Owaka), S. W. Hogarth (New Plymouth), R. Matthews (Masterton), R. G. Hills (Masterton) and Miss B. McKenzie (Masterton). There are 14 grandchildren.
The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the residence, following •a service at 2 p.m., for the Masterton Cemetery.
