BIRTHDAY PARTY AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) An enjoyable time was spent at Kahutara Hall on Saturday night when about 220 guests gathered to wish the twin sons of Mr and Mrs Juno, Axel and Walter, many happy returns on the occasion of their 21st birthday. Dancing was enjoyed to music supplied by Te Maari’s Orchestra. The duty of M.C, were capably carried out by Mr Elbe. Thanks are due to Mesdames Playle, Elbe, Pope and Miss Mai’jorie Juno for the decorations and supper arrangements. The toast of the guests was proposed by Mr Playle, who spoke of their popularity and the keen interest they took in sport. It was the first time that twins had celebrated their 21st birthday in the district. The guests suitably replied. The health of Mr and Mrs Juno was proposed by Mr Bargh and Mr Juno suitably replied. Mr Munn proposed the toast of “absent friends,” coupled with the members of the fighting forces. Visitors were present from Feilding, Wellington, Pahiatua, Masterton and 1 the surrounding districts. Personal Items. Mrs and Miss Paget, Pahiatua, and Mr H. Littler (Feilding) have been the guests of Mr and Mrs Juno. Miss P. Hood, Masterton, was a weekend visitor to Kahutara. Miss Margaret Algie has returned to Wellington. Mr and Mrs Frank White left today for Napier, where they will spend a holiday. Misses Agnes and Mary Hector were weekend visitors to Featherston. COSY THEATRE “THE MEN IN HER LIFE.” Tonight’s splendid programme will be headed by the brilliant drama, “The Men in her Life,” featuring Loretta Young, Conrad Veidt and Otto Kruger.
