■ -+ ALL PURPOSES APPEAL MEETING OF COLLECTORS. (“Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of the committee of collectors for the Grey town All Purposes Appeal was held last night, Mr. J. Kiernan being in the chair. The total cash receipts to date were reported to be £640. A recommendation was made to the general committee that a sub-committee be appointed to decide what members of the forces would receive presentations from the Citizens’ Committee.. It was also recommended that the monthly meetings be held on the first Friday in each month. Personal Items. Miss M, Duff has returned to Greytown from a holiday spent in Hawke's Bay. Mr Norman Hay, of Wellington, is the guest of his parents, Mr and Mrs F. Hay, Humphries Street, for the weekend. Mesdames T. N. Smallwood and A. H. Bull attended the Provincial meeting of the League of Mothers held in Wellington yesterday. Superintendent J. Wood, of the Greytown Fire Brigade, is attending the United Fire Brigade Conference at Wellington. Superintendent Wood has served! in the Greytown Brigade for 25 years and will receive the Association Gold Star. TOWN HALL “HERE COMES MR JORDAN.” “Here Comes Mr Jordan," an excellent comedy-drama, will be shown tonight.
