PUPILS’ CONCERT

IN AID OF PATRIOTIC FUNDS,

A concert in aid of the Provincial Patriotic Fund appeal, arranged by the pupils of Grey House, was held at St. Matthew’s Collegiate School for girls, Masterton, last night. The assembly hall was crowded. The programme was an excellent one and was a credit to the pupils concerned. The younger pupils, gave clever and amusing impersonaations of Mr Churchill, Gandhi, Shirley Temple, Hitler, Goering, etc., which made the audience rock with laughter. A splendid drum ballet was presented by the senior pupils and several of the children acted a scene from “The Houseboat on the Styx.” Songs and recitations were also featured in the programme.
