WELCOMED HOME

GUNNER L. BURROWS. The Westmere-Poro Poro patriotic committee recently extended a welcome home to Gunner Leslie Burrows, who had recently arrived back from the Middle East. The gathering took the form of a social and dance. The music was supplied by Mr Bruce McGregor, and the M.C. was Mr James Glover. Mr W. Bannister, on behalf of the residents, made a presentation to Gunner Burrows, and said how pleased they were to see him home again, and expressed the hone that he would soon be back in civil life. Gunner Burrows suitably replied.
