EGG SUPPLIES

GRADING OF SMALL QUANTITIES. PROVISION FOR PEOPLE ON DIET. The executive of the Masterton Egg Floor Committee has decided that, although hitherto it has been the practice not to grade eggs supplied to the floor in quantities under 30 dozen, in future, the smaller quantities will be graded if the grower so wishes but in that event, no cash payment can be made and a charge of 7£- per cent commission has to be imposed to cover the cost of grading and incendental charges. Another decision relates to the sup-; ply of eggs to persons on an egg diet. Such persons should present a doctor’s certificate to their grocer to the effect that they are on an egg diet and additional supplies will be made available.
