WHEAT CROP

65 BUSHELS TO THE ACRE. A crop of wheat yielding 65 bushels to the acre was grown this season by Mr H. J. Cooper on his Homebush farm. This is the second year that the paddock has'been sown in wheat. Messrs Holmes and Scott, of Matahiwi, report thqf 12 acres of “Tainui” wheat on their property threshed out at the rate of 64 bushels to the acre.
