Appeal for Books.

Householders throughout the Wairarapa are asked to give special attention to the cleaning out of their bookshelves and to forward their surplus novels and monthly magazines to the nearest office of the R.S.A. Thousands of good readable books and magazines are required for the men on active service overseas, many of whom are unable through air activity to congregate for games, and recreation is thus confined to reading, the demand for books being very great.
