BUILDING SOCIETY

WORKERS’ MUTUAL BENEFIT. ALLOCATION OF MONEYS. A general meeting of shareholders of the No. 2 Workers’ Mutual Benefit Building Society was held last evening for the purpose of allocating moneys by ballot and sale. Mr R. Krahagen, chairman, presided over a fair attendance of shareholders, and Mr J. Kerslake was appointed to draw the ballots. The successful shareholder in the No. 2 Society was the estate of J. C. Ewington, and, being the holder of two shares, was declared entitled to £4OO free of interest. A tender of £4O for £4OO was accepted for the appropriation offered for sale by tender. The successful shareholder at the ballot in the B Groun was Mr J. E. Clarke, Jean Street, Masterton, and being the holder of three shares was declared entitled to £6OO free of interest.
