All volunteer workers for the American Red Cross Club will be expected for duty on their respective shifts as from Saturday at 2 p.m. Marching Rehearsal. Expressing the hope that the step would presage the compulsory medical examination of school children throughout the Dominion, Mr G. J. McNaught, principal of the New Plymouth Boys’ High School, has asked the high schools’ board for permission to conduct medical examinations at the school. Some of the doctors at New Plymouth had expressed their willingness to assist with the scheme, said Mr McNaught, and he wished to accept the generous offer and make arrangements for the examinations,
