ALFREDTON EWE FAIR. Levin and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their annual Alfredton ewe fair, held on Saturday in Mrs A. M. Rutherfurd’s yards:—A yarding of 8000 breeding ewes came forward, for the most part in splendid order. There was quite a good attendance, and though bidding was not brisk, prices realised were in keeping with recent Wairarapa values. Ninety per cent of the stock was purchased by Manawatu farmers. We quote:— 2-tooth ewes: A/c. N. McKay and Sons, 265; H. N. Kebbell, 23/- to 25s 6d; G. S. Napier, 245; H. R. Burch, 23s 6d; F. and H. C. Percy, 225; Baldwin Estate, 21s 3d; J. Parsonson, 21s; Mrs A. M. Rutherfurd, 18s 9d; Godinagh Estate, 16s 6d. 4-tooth maiden ewes: R. W. Kebbell, 265; N. McKay and Sons, 25s Id; Estate C. Kebbell, 23s to 255. 4 and 6-tooth ewes: Baldwin Estate, 16s. 4- ewes: A.
