WELCOME RAIN PASTURES BENEFIT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The rain during the past few days will have a most, beneficial effect on the pastures in the district. The land flooded recently by the Waiohine River ,and which was covered with silt, has been cleaned by the rain. Personal Items. The Rev. G. Knowles Smith and Mrs Smith have returned to Greytown from Wellington. Miss Betty Burch has returned to her home after having been a patient in the Greytown Hospital. Plans for National Appeal. The Greytown and District Citizens’ Patriotic Committee will meet on Tuesday evening, when plans for the 1943 national appeal will be considered. TOWN HALL “TANKS A MILLION.” Tomorrow atfernoon, and again at night, there will be shown the brilliant comedy, “Tanks a Million,” with James Gleason, William Tracy, Noah Beery and J.oe Sawyer in the leading roles.
