Prohibition of the consumption of liquor except for medicinal purposes and a reduction in the consumption of beer and wines are officially proposed to the Canadian Director of Economic Stabilisation by the War Production Board’s office of civilian supply, an Ottawa cablegram states. The drastic proposal is designed to help reduce civilian economy to a wartime bedrock of 56,000,000,000 dollars annually.
