THREE INDIAS

PROPOSED BY MOSLEM LEADER AS INITIAL STEP TOWARDS INDEPENDENCE. SUGGESTION TO HINDUS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.0 a.m.) NEW YORK, February 7. The formation of three separate Indias —Moslem, Hindu and Indian was envisaged by the Indian Moslem League leader, Mr Jinnah, in an interview with the “New York Times” Bombay correspondent. Mr Jinnah explained that if the British left there would be chaos. If the Indians insisted on Indian unity, the British would never leave and therefore the only solution was for the Hindus to agree to the formation of a separate Moslem State and to induce the British to support it. Thereafter they could fix a date when all three Indias would be declared independent.
