SOLWAY RAINFALL
FIGURES FOR DECEMBER. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that rain was measured at Solway on nine days in December. The maximum fall was 65 points on the 4th, and the minimurn 1 point on the 16th. The total for the month was 2.70 inches as against 2.85 (1941), 1.09 (1940), 3.03 (1939), 4.95 (1938), 1.69 (1937); average for 39 years, 2.99 inches. The total rainfall for 12 months was 42.24 inches, as compared with 43.96 (1941), 36.51 (1940), 29.57 (1939), 47.33 (1938), 32.60 (1937). The average for 39 years is 39.57 inches.
