REGENT THEATRE

“THE FLEET’S IN.” A smooth blending of the talents of three popular stars, a host of top flight entertainers, and a story that has hilarious possibilities, can be confidently expected when “The Fleet’s In,” a new Paramount comedy with music, is shown at the Regent Theatre tonight. The chief roles are taken by Dorothy Lamour, William Holden and Eddie Bracken. Headed by Betty Hutton, America’s Jitterbug Number One, and Jimmy Dorsey and his orchestra, with vocalists Bob Eberly and Helen O’Connell, the cast includes Betty Jane Rhodes, pretty song stylist; Leif Erickson, laugh-getter; Cass Daley, eccentric singer of novelty songs, and Lorraine and Rognan, popular comedy dance team. Dorothy Lamour appears as a star ballroom singer who is noted for the fact that no sailor has ever been able to kiss her. “The Fleets In” will be finally screened tomorrow night.
