FLAG 500 PARTY SOLDIERS’ COMFORTS COMMITTEE (“Times-Age” Special.) The Borough Ladies’ Soldiers Comforts Committee held the first of its flag 500 parties on Saturday evening, when there was a large attendance of players. The room was decorated with pink and blue hydrangeas. Mr L. C. Christie conducted the games. Miss M. Anderson presented the prizes to the following winners:— Ladies: Mesdames W. Cittadmi and D. Scott; men, Messrs A. Southey and C. Buckeridge. Mrs N. Liardet and Miss A. Anderson were the hostesses. • Mr and Mrs A. Southey donated the prizes. The committee wish to thank the following for donations: Mrs A. Fredericksen ss, Miss Sybil Green ss.
Personal Items. Mr and Mrs Slow, who have been the guests of Mr and Mrs W. Olsen, Newman Road, have returned to Wellington. , _ , Mrs W. Jones, Alfredton Road, is visiting Johnsonville. Miss C. Wilson, Stanley Street, is visiting Wellington. Mr and Mrs Irving, Masterton, have returned home after having been the guests of Mrs Mills, Nireaha. ' Mr and Mrs Hercock, Wellington, have been staying with Mr and Mrs D. Hercock, Nireaha. Mr N. D. A. Mutter, Featherston, is on a visit to his son, the Rev J. C. W. Mutter, Hastwell Street.
