MATAIKONA

SUCCESSFUL GARDEN PARTY (“Times-Age” Special.) On Tuesday a very successful garden party was held at "Glen Falloch,” the home of Mr and Mrs H. E. Haggitt, Mataikona. Mrs Haggitt and her committee, Misses J. Pavitt, B. Pavitt, G. Morgan and P. Morgan, were responsible for the success of the gathering. There was a large attendance of district resisdents as well as visitors from 'Wellington. Games and competitions were held. A feature of the gathering was a bestgroomed pony competition, which was won by Miss Brenda Pavitt, of “Ovingdean,” with her pony "Colonel.” The judge was Mr J. Innes, of Whakataki, assisted by Mr H. Scales, of “Mascot.” Mr G. Morgan, of "Te Karaka,” performed the duties of M.C.
