TRADE GOOD ' — AN EFFICIENT SERVICE. (“Times-Age” Special.) Business'firms report excellent busines over Christmas and during this week, and in many respects records have been established. Local residents have a splendid service available to them, and though some lines were somewhat short in supply, the wants generally of customers were met. Featherston enjoys an enviable reputation in regard to trading, fair dealing and efficient service. Personal Items. Mi’ and Mrs Pottinger, Kahutara, are spending a holiday in Wellington. Mr W. Barton, Dunedin, is visiting his sister, Mrs C. H. Edwards. Miss L. Gordon, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs A. Peine. Mr and Mrs F. Ford, Lower Hutt, are visiting relatives at Kaiwaiwai. Miss Ailsa Turnbull, Wellington, is home for the holidays. Mrs W. A. King, “Waingaio,” Castlepoint, is the guest of Mrs H. Lawson. Swimming Club Dance. The energetic committee of the Featherston Swimming Club has completed arrangements for the dance to be held tomorrow night in the Town Hall. Every effort is being made for the enjoyment of patrons, and it is anticipated that the dance will be the most successful from every point of view held Featherston for some considerable time.
COSY THEATRE “HURRICANE SMITH." There will be two big features in tonight’s programme at the Cosy Theatre. "Hurricane Smith” is a thrilling drama starring Ray Middleton and Jane Wyatt. The East Side Kids will be seen in the excellent comedy-drama. "Bowery Blitzkrieg.”
