TOWN LANDS TRUST MONTHLY MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) 1 The monthly meeting of the Greytown Town Lands Trustees was held last night. There were present: Messrs F.- Dennes (chairman), H. G. Carter, IV. H. Day. H. J. Nightingale,. A. H. York and the secretary, Mr J. Kiernan. An apology for absence was received from Mr W. Grigg. The general account was reported to be in credit to the extent of £B7. The Trust supervisor reported that broom and gorse on several sections had not been cut and it was decided that final notices be sent to the tenants concerned. , , J „ . , Grants of £l5 to the Plunket Society and £25 to the Fire Brigade were passed for payment.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Greytown District High School Committee was held on Tuesday evening when there were present: Messrs H. G. Gaiter (chairman), F. Dennes, E. J. Galyer, R. O’Neale, L. R. Huntley, All Knell and the headmaster, Mr S. C. Shedden. 1; The headmaster reported inter alia as follows: —The pupils on the^pnrnary roll total 308, and on the Secondary roll 30. Sixty new volumes had been received from the Country Library Depot. Mr Caradus, Senior Secondary Inspector, had visited the school’during the month Advice was received from the Wei lington Education Board that the committee’s nomination of Mr L. R. Huntlev to fill the vacancy on the committee was approved. The vacancy was caused by Mr J. D. Morison joining the aymed forces. . The question of tne swimming baths was discussed.
