ROSES AND SWEET PEAS GIRL GUIDES’ SHOW. ("Times-Age” Special.) At the annual rose and sweet pea show held by the Girl Guides the champion rose was shown by Mrs H. W. Blundell, and the best red rose by Mrs W. J. Knell. Mrs E. C. Sadd carried off the honours in sweet peas. The following were the awards: — Six' varieties, Mrs Lawrence 1, Joyce Gray 2; 3 varieties, Mrs Pain 1. Mr J. Martin 2, Mrs Wall h.c.; 1 red, Mrs W. J. Knell 1, Mrs Blundell 2; 1 white, Mrs Lawrence 1 and 2; 1 pink, Mrs Blundell 1,2 and 3; 1 yellow, Mrs Blundell 1. Mrs J. Martin 3 1 any colour, Mrs Blundell 1. Mrs J. Martin 2; single, 3 any variety, Mrs J. Martin 1, 2 and 3; 1 bud, Miss Madsen 1, Miss M. C. Martin 2; 3 buds, 6 varieties, Mrs Pain 1, Mrs Blundell 2. Sweet peas: 6 distinct, Mrs Sadd 1, D Donett h.c.; 3 distinct. Mrs Sadd 1, Mrs Wall 2; blue or lavender, Mrs Sadd 1; pink, Mrs Sadd 1; best vase of sweet peas, Mrs Sadd 1.
