CHILDREN’S COMPETITIONS.
RESULTS AT WEST TARATAHI.
(“Times-Age” Special.) The judging of calf and lamb competitions at the West Taratahi School took place yesterday. Thirteen calves and five lambs faced the judge, Mr W. H. Hall, who made the following awards: — Judging competition by children: Lewars Allan 1, Shirley Quin, Rae Blake, Olga Reidy (equal) 2. CALVES. Care and handling: Rae Blake 1, Shirley Allan 2, Hilma Hultenberg 3, Jack Anderson 4. Care and handling. Standard 2 and under: Shirley Allan 1, Hilma Hultenberg 2, lan Hultenberg 3, Shirley Quin 4. Special prize for youngest competitor: Lorna Quin. Type: Lewars Allan 1, Jack Anderson 2, Shirley Allan 3, Olga Reidy 4. Type, Standard 2 and under: Shirley Allan 1, Hilma Hultenberg 2, lan Hultenberg 3, Rex Blake 4. LAMBS. Black face: J. Anderson 1, Peggy Daysh 2, Rae Blake 3, lan Daysh 4. Long wool: Shirley Quin 1. Tea was proviued by a committee of ladies and greatly appreciated.
