WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

KAITUNA-FERNRIDGE. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kai-tuna-Fernridge Women’s Institute was held at the residence of Mrs Alan Keir, Mrs Keir, Senr., presiding over a good attendance of members. Mrs J. Welch gave an interesting report on the half-yearly council meeting. Mrs Dagg demonstrated the making of dainty brooches. The bring and buy stall resulted in 12/8 being realised. A competition was won by Mrs Ljiing and in a flower competition Mrs Keir ,Senr., was first and Mrs R. Shaw second. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs Alan Keir and helpers.
