CRICKET COMPETITIONS
WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION POSTPONES OPENING. RED STAR SENIORS VERSUS JUNIORS MATCH. The Wairarapa Cricket Association has postponed the official opening of the season, which was to have been held tomorrow, until'next Saturday. Tomorrow, the annual Red Star Seniors v. Juniors match, will be played on the Park Oval and the Air Force team will play a match between teams drawn from its members, also at the Oval.
The Red Star teams are: —Seniors: F. Hoar, J. Renner, Paterson, C. Roys, F. Williams, L. Bellworthy. Sykes, Linder, Hardwicko, G. Peterson, C. Rejd and K. Rew. Juniors: Mooney, Davis, Davey, Grant, Forrester, Price, Longiworth, Youngauest. Ashworth, Matthews, Spink. R. Williams, R. Thompson. Any other intending members who are present will be given a game.
