OBITUARY
MRS M. H. DOYLE. The death occurred at her home, Manaia Road, yesterday afternoon of Octavia, wife of Mr M. H. Doyle. The late Mrs Doyle had been in ill health for some considerable time. She was the eighth daughter of the late Mr and Mrs T. W. Telford, pioneer settlers of Whareama and Carterton, and was born at Rewa Rewa, Tinui, 59 years ago. Mrs Doyle was a devoted wife and mother and a generous and kindly neighbour, always ready to help in lime of need. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Helen, Mary and Norah, and two sons, Brian and Maurice, both of whom are serving overseas in the Air Force and the Army respectively. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs Hornsby and Miss Telford, of Raumati South, and Mrs R. C. Drummond, Lansdowne, and two brothers, Messrs T. W. Telford of New Plymouth, and Hugh Telford, Te Karaka, Gisborne.
Requiem Mass will be held, at St. Patrick’s Church at 9 a.m. tomorrow and the funeral will leave the church, following a service, at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery. *
