MASTERTON CLUB.

RESULT OF RACE FROM MERCER.

The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held a race from Mercer, an air-line distance of 253 miles. The following was the result:—A. Pinkney’s “Old Bill,” 1039 yards per minute, 1; W. Miller’s “Dawn Patrol.” 1031 yds per min., 2; I. Mayes’s “Electro,” 1011 yds per min., 3; I. Mayes’s “Little Marvel,” 1010 yds per min., 4; W. Miller’s “Ideal Parade.” 1004 yds per min., 5; Stewart & Sons’ “Great Hope,” 1002 yds per min., 6. The next race will be from Papanui (Christchurch).
