ESPERANTO
MASTERTON CLUB MEETING. The weekly meeting of the Masterton Esperanto ciub was held.last evening,' Mr N. Lamont presiding over an excellent attendance of members. Correspondence received included the journals “The British Esperantist” and “Esperanto International” from London and published wholly in Esperanto. The latter announced the appointment of delegates of the Internatonal Esperantists’ league at Hamilton, Inglewood and Martinborough; and that the Australian Esperanto-Association had progressed to such an extent as to permit of the Association’s joining I.E.L. as a land organisation. Class study comprised the reading, and translation from “La Interna Ideo” the all-Esperanto magazine published at Wellington and practical conversation in Esperanto. Mr W. J. Beresford presented a poem in the international language entitled “La Stelo” (The Star), following whch the associated syntax was analysed. The club decided to hold its annual general meeting on October 26, and to conclude ths season’s activities about mid-November.
