WINNERS OF COMPETITIONS
(“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Gladstone Women’s Institute. Mrs Joblin (president) was in the chair. Mrs Bradley was elected in place of Mrs Cooper as a delegate at the council meeting. The competition winners were:—Tea cosy: Mrs Joblin 1, Miss A. Bubb 2. Flower: Miss A. Bubb 1, Miss J. Palmer 2. Mrs Wellwood and her helpers served afternoon tea.
The next race will be from Mercer, an airline distance of 253 miles.
