• ENJOYABLE DANCE SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL EFFORT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Kopuaranga Hall was crowded on Saturday night when the teacher and pupils of the Kopuaranga school held a dance in aid of a fund to send parcels to old pupils of the school now on active service. Over £l4 was raised. The music was supplied free of charge by Messrs J. West and H. McArthur Miss A. Dorreen (teacher) was a capable M.C. The children had decorated the hall with kowhai blossom and streamers. A burlesque item was given by the senior boys. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss P. Greathead and Mr B. Millar. A competition was won by Mrs Alex. Donald. Supper was handed round by the pupils.
