The Waikato coalfield dispute continues. A meeting at Huntly this morning voted in favour of resuming work tomorrow by, it is understood, 446 votes to 126. on the understanding that the Government take over the mines. The Minister of Industrial Manpower, Mr McLagan, adjourned the meeting to communicate with the Government on the matter.

This morning’s meeting was only attended by representatives of four mines, but an afternoon meeting was expected to be fully representative.
