THE KING’S LEAD
FUEL ECONOMY IN BRITAIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, September 20. The King has taken a lead in the fuel economy campaign in England. He has ordered a watermark, painted red or blue, to mark the five-inch level in every bath at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, and large notices are affixed to the walls impressing the need to save fuel. In the Palace bedrooms onlv one electric light bulb is 1 allowed. The King has approved a [system of fuel watchers to stop all waste.
