The latest development at Huntly was the posting of the following notice in the main street near the town hall: “Members of the Northern Miners’ Union are advised that in the ballot taken on Friday the proposal for tne continuation of the stoppage had failed to secure the required majority. The Northern Miners Union states that all mines will be open for work on Monday and members are advised to resume work on that day, when a report will be given at the mines by executive members.”
