CASES OF MENINGITIS
SERIOUS SPREAD IN NEW SOUTH WALES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, August 19. Nearly 500 cases of cerebro-spinal meningitis, including about 40 deaths, have been reported in New South Wales this year. In the past 12 months the disease has increased to such an extent that it is now the State’s Number One health menace. During the past week the record number of 45 cases was recorded.
