LADIES’ AUXILIARY.
MEETING OF MEMBERS. The monthly meeting of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms. There was a large attendance of members, over which Mrs H. E. Either presided. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Mac Kay, Prescott, Copp, Flaws, Kilgour and Woollett. Nominations were received for four new members —Mesdames AV. Taylor, J. AV. T. Jones, F. Roberts and McWhinnie. The treasurer’s report showed a favourable bank balance. The report on the dances held by the Ladies’ Auxiliary showed that these dances were very popular. Mr T. A. Russell gave a very interesting address. The Ladies - Auxiliary decided to supply the free tea to soldiers on August 30 at the Y.M.C.A. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses, Mesdames Welsh, Bannister and Doggett.
